Transient analysis and improvement of indoor thermal comfort for an air-conditioned room with thermal insulations

The indoor thermal comfort of an air-conditioned room with roof and wall insulations is analyzed using CFD technique. The wood wool material is used as insulation layer which is identified as a cost effective and easily available material. Four types of building room are investigated namely traditional room (roof made of concrete and weathering tile- room A), room with additional insulation layer wood of 2 cm thick between concrete and weathering tile (room B), same room with wood thickness of 6 cm (room C) and room with wood wool on both roof and wall (room D).
